About Dr VT
Qualified, skilled and experienced to help
The London Psychology Clinic is run by Dr Victor Thompson. I am a Clinical Psychologist, with experience of working in the NHS and privately for over 15 years.
For my last few years within the NHS, I led a team of over 15 Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, working in primary care (GP settings) to assess, treat and provide advice on patients with common mental health problems. For years, I combined this role with my private work, bringing the treatments that are available in the NHS, to clients outside the NHS - in a more relaxed setting and without the lengthy wait. In 2019, I left the NHS.
Below are more details on my skills and experience.
CBT and Psychology Qualifications
My primary qualifications are:
Psychology Degree, BScPsy (Hons) - University of Sheffield

Post-Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, PGDipCBT - University of Oxford
I have highly developed skills in assessment, formulation and treatment of common psychological problems - anxiety disorders, depression, low self-esteem, and more. My approach is to help in a warm, open, practical, efficient and effective way.
